I make Stellar, and I answer the email.

It says it cannot show the sky

Stellar follows the phone’s own compass and gyroscope to know which way you are pointing. A device without them — a simulator, or an iPad without a compass — cannot do it. On an iPhone, if the view drifts, move the phone in a slow figure of eight to let iOS recalibrate the compass.

The stars are in the wrong place

Almost always location. Allow it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Stellar, or open Set your location in the app and type a town or city instead.

Nothing is happening at all

Stellar shows the sky as it is, so in daylight it is mostly empty. Go out after dark and give your eyes a few minutes.

A pass reminder never arrived

Reminders are scheduled on your phone, so they need notifications allowed: Settings → Notifications → Stellar. They are also only as good as the last orbit Stellar fetched, so open the app once while you have a signal.

I have a new phone

Stellar is a one-time purchase held against your Apple Account. Sign in with the same account and reinstall it from Purchased in the App Store — there is nothing to restore and nothing to pay twice.
